Privacy Policy

BOSKOR Inc. is based in Suwon, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea, and provides installation and logistics field support for U.S. military facility projects in Korea. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit boskor.com or contact us by email or phone. It is published under the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea (PIPA).

The website has no contact form, login, sign-up, comments, file uploads, or newsletter, and BOSKOR sets no cookies. Apart from the technical data that every website visit creates, we receive personal information only when you email or call us. Cloudflare, which hosts the website, and Microsoft, which runs our email, process data for us. Some of this data is, or may be, processed outside Korea, as explained below.

What we collect and why

  • Website visits: Your IP address and the approximate location (such as country) estimated from it, browser and device details (user agent), the page address you request, the referring page, the date and time of the request, security events such as whether a request was allowed or blocked, and a Cloudflare security cookie if a security check runs. This data is created automatically when your browser requests a page, and Cloudflare processes it for us. Purpose: To deliver the website and protect it against attacks and abusive bots.
  • Visit statistics: Pages viewed, referring page, country, device type, browser, operating system, and page loading speed. We see this only as totals, such as visits per page or per country. Purpose: To understand how the website is used and improve it.
  • Email and phone inquiries: Your name, email address or phone number, and what you tell us or attach, such as your company, job title, and project details, plus the sender, recipients, date, and time that email systems record. You give us this information directly. Purpose: To answer your inquiry, prepare quotes, and communicate with you about the work. If a contract follows, also to perform the contract and keep the records Korean law requires.

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information or political views, or for resident registration numbers, passport numbers, or other national ID numbers, so please leave them out of your messages. We do not process pseudonymized information or make fully automated decisions about you. This website is not directed at children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

How long we keep it

  • Website request data and statistics: We do not export or keep our own copies of Cloudflare request logs. Our Cloudflare dashboard shows visit totals and samples of recent security events, which can include IP addresses, for limited periods set by Cloudflare. How long Cloudflare itself keeps data is explained under Service providers and transfers abroad.
  • Inquiries that do not lead to a contract: We keep these for up to 3 years after our last contact with you, so we can answer follow-up questions or later quote requests for the same project. Then we delete them.
  • Inquiries that lead to a contract: Emails and notes about the work that are not part of the records below are kept for up to 3 years after the contract ends, then deleted.
  • Records the law requires us to keep: If a contract follows, we keep transaction books and supporting documents for 5 years after the statutory filing deadline for the tax period in which the transaction took place, or 7 years for offshore transactions (Article 85-3(2) of the Framework Act on National Taxes). We keep commercial books and important documents about our business for 10 years, and slips and similar documents for 5 years (Article 33(1) of the Commercial Act). Emails that form part of these records are kept for the same periods. The personal information in these records is limited to your name, company, job title, business email address and phone number, signatures on signed documents, and transaction details.

How we delete. When a retention period ends or the purpose has been met, we delete the information without delay. Electronic files and emails are permanently deleted so they cannot be restored. Paper records are shredded or incinerated.

Service providers and transfers abroad

We outsource the processing of personal information to the service providers listed below. These providers may store or process the data outside Korea, or retrieve it from outside Korea, so we treat this as a transfer of personal information abroad and give the required details for each provider. Apart from the processing described in this section, we provide your personal information to others only where the law requires it.

Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, security, and visit statistics

  • Outsourced work: Hosting and delivering the website (Cloudflare Pages and the Cloudflare network), DNS, protecting the site against attacks and abusive bots, and producing visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics).
  • Recipient and contact: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, Attention: Data Protection Officer, dpo@cloudflare.com.
  • Information transferred: The website visit data and visit statistics listed under What we collect and why, including security cookie data if Cloudflare sets a cookie.
  • Countries: The countries where Cloudflare operates data centers around the world. Your requests are usually handled at the data center closest to you. Log metadata is processed mainly in Cloudflare data centers in the United States and Europe, and security cookie data may be processed in the United States.
  • When and how: Sent automatically over the Cloudflare network each time your browser requests a page.
  • Purpose and retention: To deliver, protect, and measure the website for us. Under its data processing terms, Cloudflare keeps this data until it is no longer needed to provide the service or our service agreement ends, whichever comes first.
  • Subprocessors: Cloudflare uses its affiliates and other companies to help provide its services. The current list is here: Cloudflare subprocessors.

Cloudflare's own processing. Separately from the work we outsource to it, Cloudflare states that it may also use network data from the traffic it handles, which can include IP addresses, for its own purposes, such as providing, maintaining, developing, improving, and promoting its services, protecting its network against malicious activity, and meeting legal obligations. Cloudflare does this under its own privacy policy, which includes a South Korea addendum: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Microsoft Corporation: business email and file storage

  • Outsourced work: Running our business email on Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online), which receives, stores, and sends email and filters spam and malware, and storing business files, such as quotes and contracts, in Microsoft 365.
  • Recipient and contact: Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, Washington 98052, USA, Attention: Microsoft Enterprise Service Privacy. Other ways to contact Microsoft are listed in its data protection terms: Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum.
  • Information transferred: The email inquiry data listed under What we collect and why, including the content of your emails and attachments, and any notes of phone inquiries or business records containing your details that we save in Microsoft 365.
  • Countries: Microsoft may store and process email and files in the Republic of Korea, the United States, and other countries where Microsoft or its subprocessors operate.
  • When and how: Sent over Microsoft's network when you email us or we email you, and when we save business records.
  • Purpose and retention: To provide our email and file storage. Microsoft holds the data for us while it remains in our Microsoft 365 account, as explained under How long we keep it. After our subscription ends, Microsoft deletes it within the period set in its data protection terms.
  • Subprocessors: Microsoft uses its affiliates and other companies to help provide its services. The current list is here: Microsoft Online Services Subprocessor List.

We also use other service providers that support our business operations.

Legal basis. We disclose the outsourced work and service providers under Article 26(2) of PIPA. The outsourced processing and storage abroad described above rely on Article 28-8(1)(3)(a) of PIPA, which allows outsourced processing and storage abroad that is needed to enter into and perform a contract with you, when the required details are disclosed in the privacy policy.

How to refuse. The website is delivered only through Cloudflare, so the only way to refuse that transfer is not to visit the website. Email to and from us always goes through Microsoft, so to refuse that transfer, call us at +82-31-305-0911 instead of emailing. If you refuse the transfer to Cloudflare, you cannot view the website. If you refuse the transfer to Microsoft, we cannot reply to you by email. Records we make for a quote or contract may still be stored in Microsoft 365. If you have already emailed us, you can ask us to delete your emails, as explained under Your rights.

Cookies and visit statistics

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. BOSKOR does not set any cookies on this website. The site has no JavaScript of its own, no advertising, and no embedded maps or videos, and its fonts are served from boskor.com itself.

Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set security cookies that its features need, such as __cf_bm, which helps tell people from bots, and cf_clearance, which records that your browser passed a security check so you are not asked again right away. For these checks, Cloudflare may also add a small script to our pages. Cloudflare describes these cookies as strictly necessary for its services. They are short-lived, and Cloudflare states that __cf_bm is not used to track you across sites or sessions. Each cookie is explained on the Cloudflare cookies page.

Visit statistics. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which adds a small measurement script to our pages. According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics does not use cookies or other browser storage, and for these statistics Cloudflare discards your IP address at the nearest Cloudflare data center instead of storing it in its core databases or logs. We see only totals, such as page views by country or browser, and we do not use visit data to profile individuals or show ads.

How to refuse. You can block or delete cookies in your browser's privacy settings. A private window, such as Chrome Incognito or Edge InPrivate, deletes its cookies when you close it. Our pages do not set cookies themselves, but if you block Cloudflare's security cookies, you may see security checks more often or, in some cases, be unable to load a page. To keep your visits out of our statistics, block scripts from static.cloudflareinsights.com with a content blocker, or turn off JavaScript. The pages of this site work without JavaScript.

How we protect it

  • The website is delivered over encrypted HTTPS connections.
  • The website has no database, forms, or login, so no visitor information is stored on the website itself.
  • Our business mailbox can be opened only by authorized staff and the services we authorize.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

  • show you the personal information we hold about you
  • correct or delete it
  • stop processing it
  • withdraw any consent you have given

To make a request, call +82-31-305-0911 or email info@boskor.com. You do not need a special form.

A representative, such as a legal guardian or someone you have authorized, can also make a request for you, and the legal guardian of a child under 14 can make requests for the child. We may ask for information to confirm your identity or your representative's authority.

We will respond without delay. If a law requires us to keep the information, or another legal reason applies, we may refuse or limit a request, and we will tell you why. If you disagree with our decision, tell us by email or phone and explain why. Our privacy officer will review it again and tell you the result.

Please keep the information you give us accurate, and do not send us other people's personal information without their permission.
